Is Sarah Snyder the Downtown Cool Kids’ Answer to Kim Kardashian West?

You may recognize Sarah Snyder as the girlfriend of Jaden Smith, the subject of recently dismissed charges of grand larceny, and one half of a series of paparazzi-ed front row PDA. But there’s more to the 20-year-old than Fashion Week canoodling and court dates—Snyder has become a bit of a social media force to be reckoned with. She has a serious Instagram following (546K and growing), an unremitting allegiance to false eyelashes, and a shameless way with a bathroom mirror selfie—and typically provoking a “love her or hate her” response, she’s basically the downtown cool kids’ version of Kim Kardashian West.

Her glossy, sassily captioned Instagram feed is almost entirely made up of pouty selfies, swimsuit shots, or OOTDs comprised of head-to-toe coveted items, from vintage Harley-Davidson T-shirts and all things VFiles to throwback Gucci tops and her most recent coup, the much-snapped Vetements DHL T-shirt. First shown, she’s sitting on the fender of a DHL truck wearing red fishnets and black shorts; fast-forward a few hours, and Snyder elevates the haute tee with a plush fire engine–red yeti shag jacket that matches both her fishnets and the text on the shirt. And, of course, she captures it all in the most millennial way possible: a bathroom selfie.
