You will need to take this on trust, in the manner of a Secret Service communiqué from behind the lines, because none of the evidence I’ve picked up is yet allowed to be released in pictures.

While commuters on the East Coast navigate the snow mounds left behind by Winter Storm Jonas, those at the couture shows in Paris are finding chic ways to maneuver the cobblestone streets. 1. Winter Essentials: Borrowing From the Garçons
The caban—peacoat—is a timeless classic, like the long men’s trench or the pour la peau coat, but each has to reinvent itself each season. I love men’s coats, especially because they’re so large and they give plenty of room; the man’s coat remains one of my favorite classics.

Floral prints aren’t exactly anything new, but designer Victoria Beckham is making us reconsider the ladylike motif as a mood-brightening antidote to the darker side of winter fashion. Eschewing her usual monochromatic style, the 41-year-old designer was spotted wearing a midi-length dress that was sprigged with a charming micro-bud pattern. It’s quite different from the flower prints she’s worn in the past; take the Pop Art version she donned this summer or the athletic-inspired iteration of the look she tried earlier this winter.

One Directioners, rejoice! Despite the band’s hiatus, its former fifth member, Zayn Malik, just released his debut video as a solo artist. The video for his song “Pillowtalk” features a familiar face to fashion fans: none other than Gigi Hadid. While the video—which features boxing female nudes and a lot of exploding floral imagery among a swirl of retro graphics, kaleidoscope and shattered-mirror effects—is causing a buzz with its racy undertones (Hadid and Malik are shown in various intimate clinches), its wardrobe is decidedly on point. And that is due to the ongoing collaboration between Malik and his post-1D stylist, Jason Rembert. “He’s a person who knows what he wants and knows what works for him,” said Rembert, via phone from Paris.
