Galvan, eveningwear’s cool new kid on the block, is about to enjoy some serious limelight. Opening Ceremony, along with fashion’s foremost purveyors of sparkle, Swarovski, has tapped Galvan to collaborate on a capsule collection for both Hollywood’s elite and mere mortals alike. The partnership will be serving up custom Swarovski-encrusted numbers for starlets, as well as an OC-exclusive range of Galvan ready-to-wear looks. (Humberto Leon and Carol Lim’s tastemaking multibrand was one of the line’s early stockists, since Spring ’15.)

This week, from January 12 to 15, Pitti Uomo returns to the Fortezza da Basso in Florence, Italy, bringing with it a slew of well-dressed gents and noteworthy events. The selection of guest designers Juun.J, Marco de Vincenzo, and Yosuke Aizawa, who will present a project from Adidas Originals x White Mountaineering, and the announcement of the Generation(s) theme exploring the relationship between nostalgia and the new have already created a substantial buzz, but several new and expanded programs announced today gave menswear fanatics plenty more to look forward to at the four-day festival. There’s nothing quite like a great vintage score, stumbling on a gem in a flea market bin, maybe the perfect Perfecto sandwiched between bad polyblend dresses. Still, for those of us feeling stretched a hair thin between work and personal life, the marathon trawling entailed just isn’t in the cards. Enter Icons, a new, gender-neutral range of quintessentially cool pieces (Levi’s 501s, moto jackets, army surplus coats, et cetera) curated by Jamie Haller and Nick Friedberg of cult denim brand NSF. Launching exclusively with Barneys New York in April (with a preview tonight), the lineup is one that the Los Angeles–based duo have entertained for some time. Haller tells Vogue.com: “It’s something Nick and I have been talking about for years. We are both personally kind of obsessed with shopping vintage, and we’re always bringing our finds into the office and getting excited about them.” But it wasn’t until they stumbled upon a veritable unicorn of a vintage dealer in L.A. (“a gold mine of amazing vintage pieces in enough quantity that we could consider selling them wholesale,” that is) that that idea became a reality.

From Lucky Blue and Pyper America Smith to Gigi and Bella Hadid and Suki and Immy Waterhouse, in 2019 it’s beginning to seem like you aren’t anybody in the modeling world if you don’t have an equally chic sibling ready to strike a pose alongside you. So we weren’t exactly surprised when we met Lou and Nils Schoof, a brother-sister duo with serious sartorial appeal and chemistry to match. Lou, 20, is a doll-like character seemingly straight from a Vermeer, except that her hair is sheared off into an asymmetrical bob. Her brother, Nils, 17, is a foosball champion, and just as beautiful, with a slicked-back coif reminiscent of that of a matador, concave cheekbones, and a cherubic pout. And while their discovery story is relatively standard—“I was discovered on a train to Berlin,” says Lou. “Nils was later discovered on my Instagram”—posing together is anything but. The duo seem to have a captivating, bound-by-blood, electric bond, visible even in their dual Instagram account. And that you certainly don’t find every day.

It may roll on interminably, without an end date in sight, but when it comes to noteworthy new models, Pre-Fall is the gift that keeps on giving. With each new lookbook, brands introduce their followers to fresh faces and provide the models selected with some much-needed exposure. Given that the girls picked for Pre-Fall often go on to do well during couture and ready-to-wear, the casting often serves to foreshadow the next generation of most-wanted models. This week, our Instagram feed was awash with color, and plenty of our most fashionable follows painted the town red, blue, green, yellow, and any variant shade thereof. Tapping into what she called her “artsy” side, Zendaya snapped a contemplative pic in front of an abstract art canvas that perfectly matched her Bauhaus-inspired Peter Pilotto frock. In fact, it was hard to tell where the painting ended and the stylish shape-shifting look began.

Running down the beach with their waist-length braids flapping in the wind and lissome frames moving in tandem in the new Calvin Klein jewelry and watch ads, it’s maddening to think actresses Lisa Bonet and Zoë Kravitz are mother and daughter. With their age-defying looks, they appear more like twin sisters than anything—which is no more evident than when they often hit the red carpet together.

Earlier this week Kate Moss stepped out in a black-and-white-striped statement fur that instantly caught our eye, and now it appears that Mary-Kate Olsen has upped the ante. One half of the sister duo behind The Row, the 29-year-old designer is known for her fearless fashion choices and isn’t afraid to take risks with her everyday wardrobe or her red carpet looks. And earlier today, leaving her office in Manhattan, the newlywed showed just how well a shaggy fur can work with an off-duty urban uniform.
